The wise Rumi sensed the need for the whole a longtime ago. He
strictly defined the whole as universal goodness without which
humanity would be numb. We are currently experiencing crisis of
social development and social relationships, or as Rumi would
say, we are a numbed society. The present social relationships
prevent the development of humankind and the only remedy is
the acknowledgement of the whole in which humanity can slowly
but surely make progress.
A permanently humane and good person can only exist in the
whole in which there are no evil people because there is no need
for them. No mentally sane person would deliberately hurt
someone unless they are motivated by personal benefit. The
drive to do evil is caused by well-known reasons: jealousy, envy,
vanity, humiliation, discontent…The higher level of social
relationships will distance people from all vices.
The whole is the highest truth, the ultimate goal of humanity. We
need to pursue this recognition and creation of the whole here
and now. The great Rumi confirmed it a long time ago.
Many thinkers have expressed the view that the world needs a
single faith. The faith in the whole can unite world religions.
