become popular at school. It was very important for me to
be noticed by the girls.
Having graduated from high school, I spent a year
doing my military service. I did not do well there, because
it did not go well with my rebellious character and I felt
like being in prison. We got up at 5 a.m. and went to bed
at 9 p.m., with the same routine day in and day out,
which was simply – boring.
After that I enrolled the School of Economics as a
part-time student, which allowed me to have more time
for myself and my adventures throughout the world.
In May 1980, I went to the island of Hvar, in
Croatia. I got a job as a nudist beach manager on a small
island, called Stipanska. It was my first employment and
there I met a lot of people, mainly from Western Europe.
That same year, in October, I was invited to go to
Germany by a girl from Düsseldorf I had met on Hvar. I
did not think twice, packed my things and left.
I lived there for a year during which I met a lot of
people from all over the world. I was impressed by two
girls from Tokyo who told me about the life and traditions
in Japan.
