I was born on 6 April 1959 in Skopje, the city in
which Mother Theresa was also born.

I had a peaceful and happy childhood. I lived in a

block of flats where there were lots of children. We were

            all happy and carefree.
Our parents were content and almost all of them

employed. Every afternoon, when they got back from

work, they would take a nap for couple of hours.
After the siesta, the neighbors would gather on the

benches in front of the block.

People were relaxed and friendly. Their chats were
always interesting, filled with jokes and laughter; people

would talk about their adventures and misadventures and

discuss various aspects of everyday life.

Occasionally, they would engage in a heated
debate about whatnots but there would always be

someone to break it with a joke. And it went on for years.

To put it simply, it was a quiet life.

Every summer we would have a modest vacation.
There was not enough money for exotic trips and we did

not even know what exotic meant. The Trade Union would

provide paying for the holiday in installments.
