democracy is usually related to smaller ancient communities
        such as Greek poleis.

Nowadays, a limited type of direct democracy is seen in some

Swiss cantons and smaller communities in New England (usually
with less than 10,000 voters). It evolved into representative

democracy that includes elected government representatives
who then represent people’s interests but not always in

        accordance with their wishes.

This type of democracy based on the existence of intermediaries
maintains its link with direct democracy through referendums.

However, this poses a problem because not all decisions can be
confirmed by a referendum as it would be impossible and

        burdensome.

Today’s developed information technology allows for introduction

of a limited system of direct democracy when addressing

        important issues that affect people.

When deciding on important issues and actions, direct

democracy is the only way of achieving and establishing
wellbeing in the whole. The correct and just system of

governance in the whole will build trust that will help to improve
        the overall social relations.
