People in the world should be brought closer together and not
separated. The languages should gradually be unified and
ultimately reduced to a single language throughout the world.
Free thinking is possible only in the whole. In the present liberal
democratic system, it is only declarative but practically non-
existent. The media plays a prominent role in the formation of
public opinion but it inhibits people from thinking. Religion
provides positive guidance, but different religions divide people
and fragment the whole. Private possession and preoccupation
with material goods should be discouraged and made
unnecessary. People should strive for happiness and serenity.
Material possessions and their distribution create discontent and
negative tendencies.
The present democratic system has its supporters, but there are
also other philosophic theories.
Some anarchists are against the existence of democracy, while
some support it. Pierre-Joseph Proudhon (1809-1865) declared
himself the greatest opponent of democracy and socialism.
Murray Bookchin (1921-2006) criticized the anarchists who
opposed democracy, arguing that the majority rule was
consistent with anarchism.
There are objective and real reasons for these diverging opinions
and attitudes as to what is good or bad. However, the opinion
