These and other problems that besiege both old and young
people seem insurmountable only to become more severe.
Everyday stressful life can be even more dangerous than the
natural disasters that grow in number and intensity and put
people’s lives in jeopardy everywhere in the world. Human
existence becomes more and more uncertain, although science,
technology, production and economy are getting more developed
and seemingly able to alleviate the pressure of politics, poor
human relationships, ecological threats and other forms of
suffering.
Each period of history breeds philosophers, people who know a
lot about human problems and who share their knowledge,
hoping to solve some of the complex issues of their time.
Humanity remembers its benefactors, learns about their
teachings, repeats their thoughts – and yet human difficulties
remain fundamentally unsolved. There are seemingly
unsurmountable obstacles to the improvement of human
conditions, although various scientists contemplate these
difficulties and propose various solutions. From the history of
humankind, we have learned that those who do not take care of
their problems will have to face great troubles, because problems
pile up and become so overwhelming that in time disaster is
inevitable.
