This entails the question why people’s characters have remained
almost the same for thousands of years. The answer is simple:
Because the social relationships have not changed.
Aristotle highlights the effects of moderation on human behavior.
He says:
“Moderation is a mean disposition between the vicious extremes
of excess and deficiency. Moderate is neither too much nor too
little.”
Aristotle’s doctrine of the golden mean should encourage us in
the future. The future mean is always bigger and better than the
past mean.
The ultimate goal of the society is to achieve reasoning that
would guide a person how to live appropriately, conforming to
human nature. Logic and physics help to build ethics in a better
way.
People are imperfect, but they can learn. They are naturally
gifted to think reasonably. They can learn to become moral. One
of the future goals will be further development of the brain. The
aim is to live within reason. Society needs to have principles and
obey them in order to achieve freedom, happiness, serenity and
well-being.
