Page 48 - Wholeness
P. 48

This well-known thought by Plato should give us hope in our
struggle to find and present the truth.

The wholeness highlights the notion that people should upgrade

themselves in order to bring equality and betterment into the
political, economic, legal and educational systems. Harmonized

social relationships are a precondition the creation of a better
        future.

People’s duty is to respect and love the others and the

environment they live in. Only those who love the others can
have peace of mind. People grow and develop by helping the

        growth of others.

To procreate is the work of nature, but to raise and educate is the

work of mind and will. Your children will always be rich if you
educate them well how to properly behave towards themselves

and the others. Therefore, rather than providing them with

material goods, make sure you teach them how to control their
passions and how to be rich in virtues.

“If fathers taught their children well and give them good
upbringing, judges, courts, punishments and prisons would not

        be needed.”

These are words uttered by John Chrysostom, born in Antioch in
        349.
