INCREASING COLLECTIVE
AWARENESS
Today’s global crisis, especially in the developed
countries, indicates that something is not as it should be.
Democracy and market economy have obviously
not brought about progress to the human society. These

two elements contributed considerably in the 19 and 20
centuries but conditions today demand other elements to
be included for the progress and survival of the society.
Historically, society has always intervened with
natural laws (written or unwritten) that solved the issues
and led to progress. For example, the Great Depression in
th
the USA in the 20 century was solved by introducing
planned economy. Nowadays, collective awareness should
be upgraded and enriched and thus improve the quality of
social relationships. The United Nations as a world
institution should reorganize and win broader authority on
the world scene. The UN should work on the raising of
collective awareness about humane ideas: food for all the
