Page 71 - Wholeness
P. 71
The clever idea about peaceful and happy life has always been
considered impossible, while evil is accepted as inherent and
normal human trait. Evil is, actually, condemned by the society
but, essentially, it is not eradicated. The current prevailing
demagogy is trying to curb human passion for love and altruism.
“Hidden evil is the worst.” / “The malicious mind has hidden
teeth.”
This is Publilius Syrus’ aphorism from the first century BC.
Injustice was discussed ages ago by a great number of people,
but rulers have always repressed progressive ideas, using
devious and evil methods.
The enlightened idea about the society as a whole was seen as
Utopia, something impossible and unreal.
The idea that organized society is probable in some future, more
civilized time, has lasted for centuries. It was dismissed as
unsustainable for material reasons. Reasonable understanding
has always been described as phantasy. The benefits of
acknowledging the wholeness were ridiculed and presented as
unnatural and strange to humankind.
The mind and its sensory perception are presented as imperfect
and unstable, while reality as complex and too difficult to
understand. Logic is being replaced by demagogy.
